Meet Adam Menzies, our newest addition to the Vancouver Circus School!
Adam Menzies is a trampoline, gymnastics, and contemporary circus arts instructor/choreographer. He has been coaching for 15 years while continuing to perform in various shows around the world. Adam is a 3-time world medalist in the sport of trampoline gymnastics, winning a gold and silver medal at the 2003 World Championships.
He has toured with world-renowned Cirque du Soleil, Cavalia, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Le Grande Cirque, and regularly performs with members of the United States Olympic Ski and Snowboard team. In 2011, Adam was invited to perform on “The Ellen Degeneres Show”, where he was later named as one of her favorite guests of all-time. Adam has taught master clinics for coaching trampoline gymnastics with the United States Trampoline Association. In addition, he created a thriving program at Dance Centers of Orlando, in which dancers were taught new and creative ways to incorporate acrobatic elements into their performance.
With an eye on technique, and safety being his number one priority, Adam strongly encourages creativity and exploration in his classes. He has a strong belief that each student has an individuality to showcase and will work with each student to highlight their strengths.
The Vancouver Circus School is excited to welcome back Adam! He will be coaching tumbling, trampoline, and acrobalance classes for various ages and levels beginning in February 2014; for the full schedule click here.
